Youth ministry

Maranatha Youth is for middle-school through college-aged students who want a real faith and real friends to walk it out with. Through weekly classes, events, sports, and gatherings, our students learn to follow Jesus together, ask honest questions, and find their place in the family of God.

Youth ministry

We meet in the middle of where students actually live: school, family, faith, and figuring out who God made them to be. The goal is simple, the same one our church has carried from the start: preach, teach, reach. We want every student to know Jesus saves, that the Holy Spirit is real and at work in their lives, and that they have something to offer right now, not just someday.

You don't have to have it all together to belong here. Come as you are, bring a friend, and let's grow in Christ together.

What a week looks like

Our students gather every Wednesday at 7:00 PM along with the rest of the church for our midweek service. It's worship, teaching from God's word, prayer, and time to connect, and it runs about two hours. Throughout the year we add events, outings, sports, and special nights so friendships have room to grow outside of a classroom.

If you're new, the easiest next step is to show up on a Wednesday. We'll be glad to meet you at the door and help you find your people.

  • Wednesday nights7:00 PMMidweek worship, teaching, and prayer with the whole church. A consistent place to grow and belong every week.
  • Sunday mornings10:00 AMWorship and Sunday school for the whole family. Students are part of the body, not off to the side.
  • Events and sportsThroughout the yearGatherings, outings, and games where real friendships form and faith gets lived out together.

Part of something bigger

Maranatha Youth is connected to Assemblies of God National Youth Ministries (NYM) and, here in our region, to Texas Louisiana Youth Ministries (TLYM), the youth department of the Texas Louisiana Hispanic District. TLYM is a fellowship of more than 100 churches, which means our students aren't just part of one youth group on one country road in Hutto. They belong to a movement of students across Texas and Louisiana chasing after God together.

These connections open the door to district and national events, missions giving through Speed the Light, and Fine Arts, where students discover and develop their gifts in music, drama, writing, and preaching and put them to work for the gospel.

  • Texas Louisiana Youth Ministries (TLYM)AG Hispanic DistrictThe youth department of our district, a fellowship of 100+ churches, with conventions and events throughout the year.
  • National Youth Ministries (NYM)Assemblies of GodThe AG's national effort to equip leaders, parents, and students until every student knows Jesus.
  • Speed the LightStudent-led missionsA student-driven program that provides equipment and vehicles for missionaries around the world.

There's a place for you this Sunday.
